Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Heal Train (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Heal Train app or website (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
What Heal Train is
Heal Train lets someone build a shareable healing plan (a “Heal Train”) made of “needs” — things like a doula, meal delivery, house cleaning, or pelvic floor PT. Friends and family (“guests”) can view a plan via a shared link and support a need by signing up to help, sending money, or gifting a gift card. Guests don’t need an account to view or support a plan.
Money & gift cards
Heal Train does not hold funds on your behalf. Where a need accepts money, contributions are processed by a third-party payment provider and are not held or controlled by Heal Train. Where a need accepts a gift card, Heal Train may link out to a provider’s own gift-card page — we are not the merchant and are not responsible for that transaction. We are not a bank, money transmitter, or payment processor.
Your plan & your link
Your plan’s share link is private but not secret — anyone who has it can view the plan and support it. You’re responsible for sharing it only with people you intend to invite, and for the accuracy of what you post (needs, amounts, provider details, and any messages you leave visible to guests).
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create a plan. The Service is intended for use in the United States.
Acceptable use
- Use the Service for its intended purpose — building and sharing a genuine healing or support plan.
- Don’t use the Service to solicit funds fraudulently or for a plan that isn’t genuine.
- Don’t misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, reverse-engineer it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Providers
Any provider (doula, cleaner, PT, etc.) referenced on a plan is independent and solely responsible for their own services. Heal Train does not vet, employ, or guarantee any provider, and is not responsible for the quality of services they deliver.
Accounts & security
You’re responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
Fees
The Service is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features, we’ll disclose the price and terms before you’re charged.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Heal Train and its licensors. You keep ownership of the content you post to your plan, and you grant us a limited license to process and display it to provide the Service (including to the guests you share your link with).
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any contribution, gift card, or provider referenced through the Service will be delivered as expected.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Heal Train will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost funds, undelivered gift cards, provider disputes, lost data, or other losses arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Heal Train and its officers, members, and agents from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; if we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive termination.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at the email below so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that isn’t resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
